Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination-induced unilateral axillary lymphadenopathy: case series with follow-up and literature review

Multiple studies have reported on unilateral axillary adenopathy following coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination, which is currently recognized as a common finding. Here, we present series of eight adult patients with reactive lymphadenopathy COVID-19 in whom the follow-up ultrasonography (US) showed resolution previously noted adenopathy. From March 2021 to 2022, 2,599 consecutive women underwent breast US Jeju National University Hospital. We identified 10 vaccination detected US. The were recommended for Two lost follow-up, whereas remaining US, was noted. Radiologists should be aware evolving guidelines evaluating and managing avoid false positive biopsies. Recent show that prolonged duration until often observed. Therefore, examination at least 12 weeks after may reasonable. Furthermore, management include risk-stratified approach considering both timing patient’s overall risk metastatic disease.
